Captiva Civic Association

Mission Statement:

Adopted by the Board of Governors March 25, 1998 

The mission of the Captiva Civic Association is to: 

1. Promote community pride and social fellowship among our members and encourage their participation in our programs and activities. 

2. Defend and preserve our comprehensive land use policy. 

3. Protect our residents’ safety, the island ecology, and the unique island ambiance by being aware of existing problems, anticipating future problems and working together to find solutions. 

4. Monitor legislation that concerns Captiva and to represent our island before governmental offices and agencies. 

5. Provide a community forum where ideas, concerns and needs can be discussed while respecting each other’s opinion.
